EMC Course — Conduct In-House EMC Tests Yourself

Run EMC tests in-house, and spot and understand problems before the certification test: hands-on, on your own products.

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is one of the most common causes of delays in CE certification. Yet many EMC problems can be identified early with low-cost measurement equipment, if you know how. Akrodyn offers a guided half-day course in which you learn to run in-house EMC tests, interpret the results and optimise layouts and filter concepts.

Course schedule

Morning: fundamentals and first measurements

• Setting up a simple in-house EMC test environment (equipment list sent in advance)
• Joint baseline measurement on your devices or development prototypes
• Interpreting the measurement results

Lunch break (lunch together)

Afternoon: optimisation and practice

• EMC measures: layout, filter concepts, shielding
• Direct optimisation and re-measurement on your devices
• Open Q&A and individual consulting

What you bring

• Your own devices or prototypes (ones you plan to test for EMC or have already tested)
• Schematics or layouts (optional, for deeper discussion)
