Standard checkout systems, known as point of sale (PoS), rarely fit when a device runs unattended: vending machines, showers, tanning salons or access systems. We develop the payment solution for it, from the app on the terminal and the enclosure to the connection with your machine or existing infrastructure.
Examples
At an airport, travellers pay for the showers directly at the terminal. Once the payment goes through, the app unlocks the shower. For tanning salons, we developed an access terminal that checks age and ID before the sunbed starts.
Standard checkout solutions and payment apps often fail to cover the edge-case requirements of vending machines, unattended kiosks and industrial access systems. Akrodyn develops custom payment solutions: from the HMI to a complete checkout with biometric age verification, MDB bus connection and cloud backend.
Scope
- Terminal apps: Android apps for payment terminals such as IM15, IM30 or similar.
- Complete payment processing: self-checkout, vending, unattended POS.
- Machine integration: adapter boards with MDB, Ethernet, CAN and USB, also for retrofitting existing machines.
- Cash systems: communication with coin validators and bill acceptors via MDB.
- Age and ID verification: for devices with a legal age limit.
